Please take into account that these are my personal tasting notes and personal experience. as such you may interpret this whisky very differently from me.
Strong sherry nose with the grapes coming though. Slightly sweet but with a hint of peat.
An initial hit of peat and smokiness tempered by a creamy, sweet vanilla flavour.
Dry and long lasting with a spicy quality.
An excellent whisky – a perfect balance between smokey peat and sweet sherry. Not many of the Signature Batch #4 around these days – it was very difficult to finish the bottle off knowing I might not get my hands on it again. But whisky is there to be enjoyed and I certainly did enjoy it!
Classic Rock Match:
Following a post by @the_whisky_lady entitled ON THE ROCKS: Match Your Whisky With Rock Classics I’m going to try and match my tastings with a classic rock song.
For this dram I’m going with Creedence Clearwater Revival -Have You Ever Seen The Rain?
